THE HEALING ENERGY IN

Reiki

Reiki Energy Healing

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It is based on the belief that a therapist can channel healing energy into a patient by placing their hands on or near the patient’s body. The therapist’s hands are placed in a series of hand positions that cover the head, the front and back of the torso, and the front and back of the legs. Each hand position is held for three to ten minutes, depending on the practitioner’s training and the patient’s needs.

Reiki practitioners believe that the healing energy they channel comes from a higher power, and that it flows through the practitioner’s hands into the patient’s body. They do not consider themselves to be the source of the healing energy, but rather a conduit for it.

Reiki is thought to work by balancing the energy within the body and restoring harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. It is believed to be effective in relieving stress, reducing pain, and improving sleep. Some people use Reiki as a complement to traditional medical treatment, while others use it as a standalone therapy. Some studies have suggested that it may be helpful for reducing anxiety and stress, and for improving quality of life in cancer patients.

Reiki is generally considered to be safe, with few reported side effects. Some people may feel a sense of relaxation or warmth during a Reiki session, while others may experience no noticeable changes.
